The fantastic reservoir of this ancient Persian art form and culture exhibits carpets from all over nation. Its phenomenally rare pieces belong to the 16th century, all the way to the present day. The museum building was designed and built under the order of Queen Farah Pahlavi in 1976. The beautiful building itself was much ahead of its time in regards to its architecture. The exhibition hall is a massive 3,400 meters squared and its library houses over 7,000 books! The intricately modern designed building consists of two floors. The main floor is home to the permanent collection and the top floor belongs to the temporary collections.
