SHEMSHAK SKI RESORT

SHEMSHAK SKI RESORT

A white snowy haven for skiers and snowboarders, the Shemshak Resort is Iran’s second largest ski resort after Dizin. Located north-east of Tehran, it rests 2,550 to 3,050 meters high in the Alborz mountain range, less than an hour’s drive away from Tehran. In comparison with the Dizin Resort, which welcomes all skill levels, Shemshak is home to mostly advanced skiers and snowboarders. The featured slopes in Shemshak are quite steep and the majority of runs are ‘mogul runs’. The ski season here about four months, which usually begins early December up to late March. The slopes are open from 8:00am to 3:30pm and then again from 6:00pm to 10:00pm for the night owls!
The resort itself has a variety of services and facilities including many restaurants, beautiful accommodations (with 24-hour room service), indoor swimming pool, gym and sports club and cafes. Due to its location, all travellers to this destination are constantly stunned and awed at the beauty of the Alborz mountain range’s nature.
