• Iran’s vice-president, Masoud Soltanifar, said loosening visa rules are opening the door for the return of tourists
• Improved relations could see tourists flocking to see the impressive Persepolis site or to Tehran for skiing
Change is afoot in Iran, with the country currently preparing for a ‘tsunami’ of foreign tourists, the country’s vice-president revealed yesterday.
The news comes as Iran and world powers are to begin implementing a landmark nuclear deal that will lift sanctions in return for curbs on Iran’s nuclear program.
