KHORESH-E FESENJAN

Adding to the variety of colors, this brown dish has a base of finely ground walnuts and pomegranate sauce. Usually joined by chicken, it is cooked very slowly. There are different preferences to the flavouring of this dish as it comes in sweet, sour or mild. This variation is caused by the choice to add more pomegranate sauce, sugar or both. The ones you will usually come across in restaurants will be mild. Enjoy!
